During the finale of the 34th German Rock & Pop Preis on Dec. 10, 2016 in the Siegerlandhalle in Siegen, NECRONOMICON won the 1st price in the category "Best Progressive Band" with their recent song "Verwundete Stadt (Wounded City)".
Saturday, 23. January 2016, Concert in the SPACE of the Ludwig Forum Aachen, Introduction of the new Double Vinyl LP "NECRONOMICON LIVE in Concert 1973"
In 1973 the director of the art gallery "Neue Galerie - Sammlung Ludwig", Dr. Wolfgang Becker, invited NECRONOMICON for a concert during an art exhibition of the New York artist Ben Schonzeit. The concert was recorded on a stereo tape which was forgotten during the next years and decades. Only in may 2014 the tape was rediscovered in the archives of the Aachen Ludwig-Forum of modern art. The quality of the recording was surprisingly good. Thus, NECRONOMICON decided to publish this 40 year old document on a double vinyl LP
Live in Concert 1973. The group presented this live record on a concert on January, 23rd, 2016 in the SPACE of the Ludwig-Forum for Modern Art, Aachen.
Some of the songs from this new LP were performed by the original 1973 cast of NECRONOMICON, with Fistus Dickmann on Keyboards and Bernhard Hocks at the bass. The Live-LP can be ordered directly by the contact address on this website or via www.amazon.de (NECRONOMICON Live in Concert 1973).
